Rheumatology centers opened on the basis of three Moscow clinics

Specialized centers for the treatment of rheumatological diseases were opened at the Pirogov City Clinical Hospital No. 1, City Clinical Hospital No. 52 and the Loginov Moscow Clinical Research Center. This was reported on the official website of the mayor of Moscow.

In the new centers, Muscovites will be able to receive a full cycle of medical care for such diseases as, for example, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren’s disease, Bechterew’s disease, and systemic lupus erythematosus.

As specified in the message, now the therapists of the city polyclinics, if a rheumatic disease is suspected, will refer patients to new specialized centers. Thus, residents of the Central, Southern, South-Western, Trinity and Novomoskovsky districts will receive assistance in a specialized center at the Pirogov Hospital No. 1.

Muscovites living in the Western, Northern, North-Western districts and Zelenograd will be sent to the center at the City Clinical Hospital No. 52. And patients from the Eastern, South-Eastern and North-Eastern districts will be sent to the center at the Loginov Moscow Clinical Research Center.

Also, at City Clinical Hospital No. 52, a city-wide center for the treatment of rheumatological diseases has been organized, in which all Muscovites with severe complications that have appeared against the background of the underlying disease, who need the help of other specialists – for example, cardiologists, urologists, gynecologists, ophthalmologists, endocrinologists, and so on, can receive help. .

“Before, Muscovites had to visit several medical institutions in order to get expert advice, undergo examinations, establish a diagnosis, and begin therapy. Rheumatologists did not receive patients in all polyclinics of the capital. And specialized diagnostics was available only after a consultation with a hospital rheumatologist, to whom the patient could not make an appointment on his own. Specific medicines were issued only in one pharmacy, ”the city authorities explained the need for optimization.

Now all medical services for patients with rheumatic diseases are available in one place. At the same time, in order to make an appointment for a second appointment with a doctor, you will not have to waste time getting a referral – the possibility of making an appointment with doctors will be open to patients all the time. And for the initial appointment with a specialized specialist, the therapist will record.

It is also clarified that all protocols of examinations by specialists of centers for the treatment of rheumatological diseases, research results, appointments and other data will be entered into the patient’s electronic record.
