RFU experts found the penalty against Shinnik unfair

RFU experts examined a complaint filed by the Shinnik football club against a penalty awarded by referee Igor Sidenkov during the match with Alania. The penalty was awarded in the 88th minute of the match. Shinnik was leading 3-2. And everything was going to the point that the “black and blue” would win.
However, the referee saw a handball. “Alania” converted the penalty. The match ended with a draw. Dmitry Khomukha, Shinnik coach, said in a post-match interview that such episodes are killing football.
The RFU panel of experts reviewed the complaint from the Yaroslavl club and came to the conclusion that the judge was wrong.
“The referee mistakenly awarded a penalty against the Shinnik team in the 88th minute of the match. The decision of the ESC was motivated by the fact that in this game episode the commission did not determine the obvious fact of a handball by the player of the defending team “Shinnik” No. 92 Roman Emelyanov in his own penalty area, since, in the opinion of the commission, the ball hit the area of the chest and the permitted part of the shoulder of this a player attempting to block an opponent’s pass. For this reason, the commission unanimously believes that the referee should have continued play in this game episode.” – this is the verdict of the RFU.
However, as noted earlier, a recalculation of points in favor of Shinnik or any other revision of the results of the match is not expected. Dmitry Khomukha was also skeptical about the prospect of punishing the judge. Most likely, Igor Sidenkov will continue his career without losses or penalties.
