RFU appoints new national team coaches

The Russian Football Union announced personnel changes in the national teams after the contracts with Konstantin Mayevsky and Evgeny Kuzmin were not renewed.
At the helm of the men’s national team stood Besik Zoidze, who will also continue to work in the Communist Party club. Over the years of his coaching career at the national level, he led his teams to victories in the championship and the Cup of Russia, at the international level – to bronze medals in the UEFA Champions League. It is planned that training camps will be held in February and April, and friendly matches will also take place.
Mikhail Kryukov, who has collected a rich collection of trophies in the championships and the Cup of the country, has been entrusted to lead the women’s team. Sergey Abramov will help him, who at the same time led the youth teams U-19 and U-17.
