Every 10th adult Russian admits that they have ever had holiday romances with foreigners – about this informs “Lenta.ru” with reference to the study of one of the educational platforms.
According to the results of the survey, it turned out that women are more likely to get acquainted with foreigners on vacation – 23%, men give themselves up to fleeting connections abroad only in 11% of cases. At the same time, one in three who were in a romantic relationship with a foreign citizen never learned English. About 33% of international couples spoke Russian, another 24% communicate in English.
The study also revealed that the main motivations for learning a foreign language among citizens of the Russian Federation are the ability to communicate while traveling (29%), watch films and read books in the original (16%) and the opportunity to find work abroad (13%).
