TikTok will pay for the work of these employees. At the same time, the social network will have to report on their work to American officials.
TikTok sent out offers for some of these positions in early December. Due to the failure of the deal, the service told applicants late last month that the hiring process was on hold, Reuters sources said. One of the interlocutors of the agency clarified that in its statement, the social network referred to “recent events”, without going into details.
