Reuters: Serbia may start supplying weapons to Ukraine

Serbia could or has already sent lethal weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). About it informed Reuters, citing secret Pentagon documents.

According to American documents leaked online, Serbia refused to train the Ukrainian army, but instead pledged to send weapons to Ukraine.

The chart itself lists the “estimated positions” of 38 EU countries in response to Ukraine’s requests for military assistance. Of all the governments of European countries, only Austria and Malta indicated that they have not provided and will not provide assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“More than 10 times we have refuted this lie, we will do it again. Serbia has not sold and will not sell weapons to either the Ukrainian or Russian side, as well as to states located in the neighborhood of the conflict zone, ”the Serbian minister assured (quote according to TASS).

The Serbian authorities have repeatedly stated that they will not supply weapons to Ukraine and Russia. March 3 Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Ivica Dacic notedthat Serbia does not supply weapons and military equipment to either Ukraine or Russia and did not allow such supplies. According to him, the work of Serbian diplomats is aimed at preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia against the backdrop of huge pressure on the country.

On March 5, President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic again rejected accusations of supplying weapons to two countries through Turkey. Then he noted that deals with the Turkish side are protected by its obligation not to export weapons without the consent of Serbia.

April 7 on Twitter were published 100 US confidential documents including Ukraine, the Middle East and China. One of the slides from the materials, dated February 23, is marked as Secret/NoForn, which means that it is not intended for distribution to other countries. The anonymous 4chan forum, according to the NYT, also featured a map of the battles for Artyomovsk (the Ukrainian name is Bakhmut) and confidential slides of briefings on China, the Indo-Pacific region and the Middle East.
