The property of the former mayor of Kherson, Igor Kolykhaev, has been described and is being prepared for nationalization, informs the acting governor of the region Vladimir Saldo.
As noted, Kolykhaev was fired from the post of head of Kherson in April 2022, when he refused to cooperate with the Russian authorities, in June he was detained. According to Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the administration of the Kherson region, who later died, Kolykhaev called for sabotage and failure to comply with the orders of the administration.
According to Saldo, Kolykhaev, with the help of figureheads, tried to take out part of his property from the Kherson region, and transfer the remaining assets to support aggression against Russia.
Kherson region became part of the Russian Federation following a referendum held in September 2022. Ukraine did not recognize its legitimacy and continued to attack the territory of the region.
