In the first qualifying stage of the Sakha arena-9 tournament, the “Fundament” team, which included Ivan Semyonov, Revoliya Samsonov and Nikolai Nikolaev, won. This tournament took place on December 1 in Sakhacircus as part of the “Winter Begins from Yakutia” festival, YSIA reports.
The fight was held in a “wall to wall” format with the participation of eight teams. Each team consisted of three wrestlers. At the group stage, the Foundation team was able to defeat the teams of Megino-Kangalassky, Tattinsky and Verkhoyansky uluses, and reached the finals.
The Tattinsky ulus team, which included Egor Zakharov, Ignatiy Androsov and Leonid Popov, also made it to the finals. The final matches were held up to two victories in each match. As a result, the “Foundation” team won a landslide victory with a score of 3:0. The organizers awarded them 150 thousand rubles. The third place was taken by the team of the Churapchinsky ulus, in which Vladimir Afanasyev, Anatoly Sivtsev and Dyulustan Kalachev performed. In the fight for the bronze medal, they defeated the Gedeon-Stroy team with a score of 2:1.
It should be noted that this tournament was only a qualifying tournament. Such competitions will also be held in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Tyva and Buryatia, from where one best team will be selected. Next year, on December 1, the final between all the winners of the qualifying stages will take place in Yakutsk.
In addition, there was a battle of bloggers, in which Tuvan singer Chingiz Mongush won, defeating local blogger-distiller Roman Nikolaev from Suntarsky ulus with a score of 2:0. Next year, the representative of Tyva will compete for the championship belt with the Yakut singer Leon.
