Dangerous infections after tick bites were diagnosed in residents of Moscow and the Moscow region after being bitten by ticks, Izvestia reports.
As noted, mainly we are talking about diseases such as Lyme disease and anaplasmosis.
In Moscow, Lyme disease was recorded in 21.67% of those bitten by ticks. Also, a large percentage of morbidity was recorded in the Sverdlovsk region and Chelyabinsk regions (42.76% and 32.53%).
Also, among the residents of Moscow and the Moscow region, cases of anaplasmosis after tick bites have become more frequent, which is generally considered atypical. Most often, this infectious disease is detected in Primorye, Altai and Khabarovsk Territories, Novosibirsk Region. Anaplasmosis is able to quickly destroy the cells of the immune system and provoke inflammation of internal organs, including the kidneys and liver.
