Residents of the Belgorod region evacuated due to shelling will be helped to take things out

Residents of the border settlements of the Belgorod region, who left their homes due to the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, will be helped to take out their property, said Tatyana Moskalkova, Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia.

During a visit to a temporary accommodation facility based on the Amaks Hotel in Belgorod, residents evacuated from Zhuravlevka spoke about their feelings about their abandoned belongings.

“There will be a special person in the governor’s administration who has access to this dangerous place. At your address, if you entrust the keys, a person or a group of people will take everything you need that you list in order to bring you, ”Moskalkova told them (quote according to TASS).

The shelling of the Belgorod region, where the high (“yellow”) level of terrorist danger operates indefinitely, has become more frequent since the beginning of the month. In particular, on June 1, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired a record 850 shells in the Shebekinsky district. The next day, June 2, on some sections of the roads of the Shebekinsky urban district of the Belgorod region, a temporary ban on the movement of vehicles was introduced.

Since June 21, the authorities have allowed entry into the shelling-affected city of Shebekino, Belgorod Region, during the daytime, Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov reported earlier. Entry and exit from the city are controlled in order to ensure the safety of the property of its residents, he noted.

On June 6, the press service of United Russia, citing the head of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that almost 60,000 people had been evacuated from the shelled territories. As Gladkov said on June 10, 2,703 people remain in Shebekino. As of 2021, more than 39,000 people lived in this city.
