Residents of the Sverdlovsk region on social networks publish photos of thermometers with readings of -35 – -40 degrees. On these cold days, tragic news came from the village of Filkino: a newborn froze to death in a pram. The child was born two weeks ago and was the seventh in the family. MK found out the circumstances of the tragedy and the lifestyle of parents with many children.

“The mother doesn’t have a face now.” He looks down. “He doesn’t talk to anyone,” a neighbor of a large family told the correspondent. – If anyone says something, it’s the father. But, of course, he is shielding himself.

In the village of Filkino, everyone knows the family. Mom is always with the children. The youngest goes to kindergarten, the eldest goes to college. The woman doesn’t work anywhere. “And when should she work,” say the neighbors. But there are more questions for dad. He is also eternally unemployed. A year ago, he got a job with a local entrepreneur, but he kicked him out after a month.

– He was constantly late, arrived drunk, and did poor work. “I skipped work without a good reason,” the businessman said about the employee with many children.

The tragedy happened because of my father, they say in the village. Mom took care of the children, and dad went out for a walk with the stroller. I drank while walking and forgot to bring the child into the house. When they grabbed her, the baby was already frozen.

“They say different things, but I think that the child died due to poor health,” the director of the school where the older children studied told MK. – I can’t say that this is an ideal family. I know that they both drink, but they don’t wander around the village drunk, they don’t bring company with them. They look after the children as best they can, although they live only on child benefits. They don’t keep livestock.

The seventh baby in the family was born at eight months old. The birth happened at home, but the doctors still arrived and took the newborn to the hospital. On December 1, Friday, she was discharged, and on December 3 tragedy happened.

“The whole family was at home that day. The children are now studying in a sanatorium-type boarding school. They come home for the weekend. I don’t believe that a newborn could be forgotten on the street. Someone would have missed the baby, the school director is convinced.

Other village residents claim that the parents could well have been drinking: they were celebrating their discharge from the hospital. And in such frosts, and even a weakened baby doesn’t need much.

The Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk Region opened a criminal case under the article “Causing death by negligence.” What was the true cause of the baby’s death remains to be determined during the examination.
