It’s time to decide: tasks for the qualifying round “Conquer the Sparrow Hills!” open

Following the start of registration for the twentieth season of the famous Moskovsky Komsomolets Olympiad and Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov tasks became available to participants. This year “Conquer the Sparrow Hills!” is once again giving talented schoolchildren tickets to a successful life. Winners and runners-up will have a chance to enter the best universities in the country on preferential terms. We publish the latest news about the Olympics.

In what subjects can you participate in the Olympiad?

The twentieth season of the PGG will be held in 8 traditional disciplines. Interesting tasks are already waiting for lovers of geography, journalism, foreign languages, history, literature, mathematics, social studies and physics. Registration for the first round started on December 1. You can take part in the qualifying stage of the Olympiad from December 8, 2023 to January 9, 2024. Immediately after registration, tasks will appear in the participant’s personal account on the PVG website.

We remind you that in order to take part in the qualifying round, you need to register and fill out a form on the website https://pvg.mk.ru. The first stage traditionally takes place remotely. In the new season, schoolchildren from Russia and other countries, as well as students receiving secondary vocational education in the field of arts, can compete for the main prizes. We strongly recommend that participants familiarize themselves with the rules of the Olympiad and study all documents, they are available on the official website.

Conditions for selecting items and benefits for winners and runners-up

The organizers of the Olympiad reminded that each participant can pass the first stage in one or more subjects, but no more than one session in each. A foreign language involves choosing one language from three available: German, English and French.

The winners of the Olympiad will be able to enter the university without entrance examinations, and the winners will receive 100 points in the subject that was selected for participation in the Olympiad. To receive the benefit, you need to score at least 75 points in the relevant Unified State Examination subject.

When are the selection results and finals

This year, the results of the qualifying stage will appear on the project website no later than March 1, 2024. Along with the results, the organizers will publish the correct answers to the tasks, as well as the evaluation criteria for the participants. The finalists of the first round will advance to the finals, which will tentatively take place in the first week of April 2024.
