Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov said that following the meeting of the operational headquarters, decisions were made on measures taken in connection with the regime established in the region.
Gladkov said that it was decided to satisfy “the request of residents of the border areas and the city of Belgorod for temporary resettlement.” According to him, the Moscow region has already agreed to accept 500 people and settle in the territory of one of the sanatoriums free of charge with meals. Transport is promised from the Belgorod side.
“When the operational situation allows, we will bring the residents back,” the official assured.
He also said that at the “closed part of the meeting” some “additional decisions” were made to strengthen “measures to ensure the safety of the residents of the region, as well as the safety of property.”
In addition, the security of energy facilities, communications, housing and communal services is being strengthened, and the owners of border enterprises and enterprises in Belgorod are recommended to introduce flexible work schedules and consider the possibility of transferring employees to remote work.
School holidays have been extended for another week, then until December 1, schools and colleges in the regional capital and border areas will work remotely.
