Earlier today, Yaroslav Vasilyev, who introduced himself as the coordinator of volunteers working in the Kherson region, told the Nestka publication that local authorities and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations interfere with their work. According to him, the rescuers did not let five boats with volunteers into the flood zone in the city of Alyoshki.
Novaya Gazeta Europe, citing volunteers, reported that they were not allowed into the city of Aleshki, which was flooded as a result of the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. Volunteers say they are being held at checkpoints. At the same time, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations do not organize the evacuation of people.
The Russian service of the BBC also, citing the volunteers, said that the assistance complicates the “lack of a clear response” from the Russian Emergencies Ministry and that the Russian military does not allow volunteers from Crimea to enter the disaster zone.
As a volunteer coordinating one of the chats on the evacuation of Aleshki residents told the BBC, volunteers received requests for help from 1.5 thousand addresses. According to him, about 5 thousand people are waiting for the evacuation in Aleshki.

In the Ukrainian territories, due to the destruction of the hydroelectric power station, problems began with drinking water and the supply of irrigation systems. The Red Cross warned that the flooding had swept away dozens of landmines.
Russia and Ukraine accuse each other of undermining the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. The Kremlin believes that in this way Ukraine wanted to deprive Crimea of water supply. The Ukrainian authorities believe that Russia, which controlled the hydroelectric power station, blew up the hydroelectric dam in order to complicate the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
