Report: North Korea fires two short-range ballistic missiles

North Korea launched two short-range ballistic missiles from the east coast towards the Sea of Japan. About it informed Reuters, citing the South Korean military.
It is specified that the missile launch occurred less than an hour after the DPRK warned of an “inevitable” response to the military exercises of the United States and South Korea, which were held on June 15. The DPRK Defense Ministry accused them of escalating tensions.
The Ministry of Defense of Japan reported that one of the missiles fell 110 km northwest of the island of Hegura, and the other – 250 km. The agency added that both missiles landed in Japan’s exclusive economic zone.
Earlier in Tokyo, a trilateral meeting was held between US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, National Security Adviser of South Korea and Japan Cho Tae Yong and Takeo Akiba. During this meeting, they discussed the DPRK’s missile program and agreed on further cooperation to force Pyongyang to give up nuclear weapons.
On June 15, a joint live-fire exercise with the United States ended in South Korea. They passed 25 km from the inter-Korean border. According to Yonhap News Agency, the total number of exercises was involved 610 vehicles.
