The head of the Russian Ecological Operator (REO), Denis Butsaev, said that it is planned to install several hundred more vending machines to receive empty containers in Russia by the end of this year. In total, about 150 thousand such devices need to be installed in the Russian Federation, they may appear in the near future, he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Fandomat is a machine for receiving secondary raw materials, which gives out rewards for the delivery of containers. The reward can be monetary, in the form of points and checks for a store or public transport.

“To date, about 800 vending machines have been installed in several subjects, and several hundred more are planned to be installed by the end of this year. If we talk about the demand or market capacity in Russia, then it is a significant amount, almost 150,000 devices that can be installed in a variety of locations,” Mr. Butsaev said.

The head of the REO said that there are many manufacturers of vending machines in Russia, including those who are ready to export to other countries. REO will continue to support companies building vending machines in the Russian Federation, he noted. Mr. Butsaev added that REO has agreements to install phantoms in most supermarket chains.
