On February 24, in the city of Lermontov, in honor of the Defender of the Fatherland Day, the sports “Relay Race of Generations” will be held. As noted in the press service and information policy department of the Governor of the Stavropol Territory and the Government of the Stavropol Territory, the event will bring together participants from 6 to 80 years old.
Recall that the Relay has been held since 1977, when a monument was erected on the grave of an unknown soldier under Mount Ostroy.
Last year, the event received a competition format and added distances of 2 km, 4 km and 7 km around Mount Ostroy to the relay.
It is gratifying that interest in the sports and patriotic action is growing from year to year. Now they are already forming entire relay teams of five people, where at least one must be under 16 years old.
