“I took a basket and went to the grave”
Relatives of Yuri Denisov from the city of Vladimir told local journalists that he visited them in March. We wanted to visit my father’s grave.
It turns out that back in 2015-2016, Denisov and his parents moved to Russia to work. We stopped next to relatives in Vladimir, a year later Yuri left for Kyiv and only occasionally looked at his parents. According to Uncle Yuri, he did not talk much about himself. “Slippery. Well, crest,” he said, laughing.
In 2022 Denisov’s father died and was buried in the new cemetery. In March, Yuri dropped in on his relatives to ask where his father’s grave was. “I took a basket and went,” they say. By the way, he told them that his family is now in Lithuania, and not in Kharkov. Where Yuri’s mother is now is unknown. He has another relative in Russia – an aunt who lives in Surgut. But she doesn’t want to hear about her nephew.
