In the Belgorod region will not hold a regional graduation

Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov live broadcast VKontakte reported that this year a regional ball for school graduates will not be held in Belgorod.
He noted that the format of the planned events depends on the operational situation: “We really wanted to organize a regional alumni ball in Belgorod. We won’t do it this year. How diplomas will be awarded is a decision for parents and principals to make.”
In areas where graduations would be dangerous, authorities will provide buses to transport them to safer locations, the official said.
Previously, the authorities of the Belgorod region decided to cancel military parade on May 9th. The governor explained this decision by the unwillingness to provoke the enemy by the accumulation of military personnel and equipment in the regional center. Against the backdrop of regular shelling of the border areas of the region by Ukraine, officials are thinking about the format of the action of other events. “There will be an Immortal Regiment, but in what form, face-to-face or online, we will decide together at a meeting of the operational headquarters and will definitely inform about it. No one will risk the lives and health of people,” Mr. Gladkov said.
