The list of people who will be required to take a DNA test will include close relatives of missing citizens. This is reported by “Russian newspaper”.
It is clarified that the government commission on legislative activities has already supported a draft law amending the federal law on state genomic registration.
Member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Vtorov, in turn, noted that such a law would clarify the fate of thousands of adults and children who are still considered missing.
The bill states that close relatives of a missing citizen are persons who are biologically related. The genomic information obtained by the preliminary investigation authorities will be stored in the federal database until the location of the missing person is established, but not more than 70 years.
