The government will allocate 12 billion rubles to the regions. to update utility infrastructure to reduce the number of accidents. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced this at an operational meeting with deputies.

The funds will be used to update utility networks, repair boiler houses, and wastewater treatment plants. “So that their accident rate decreases and residents receive quality services. Because clean water and warmth in the house are what primarily affect the comfort of people’s lives,” added Mikhail Mishustin.

The funds will be allocated as part of the utility infrastructure modernization program until 2027. According to the prime minister, thanks to such support, regions will be able to more effectively modernize utility networks.
