Makhmudov: in Dagestan, a group of refugees from Palestine received passports of Russian citizens

The first group of evacuated Palestinian residents who arrived in Dagestan, consisting of 45 refugees, received passports of Russian citizens.

A representative of the migration department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the republic clarified that among those who received a passport there were 7 minors, the youngest of whom was 14 years old.

Deputy Chairman of the Government of Dagestan Abdurakhman Makhmudov, presenting the documents, emphasized that receiving documents provides an opportunity to realize oneself in various fields of activity. “You receive the rights and benefits provided for by the Constitution of the Russian Federation,” he said, addressing new citizens of Russia. “You will have the opportunity to receive medical care and education.”

Since November 25, several groups of evacuees from Gaza arrived in the republic – more than 150 people in total (including more than 70 children). They live in a temporary accommodation center at one of the recreation centers.

Among the refugees, it was reported, there are doctors of the highest category and teachers. A working group has been created in Dagestan to deal with the employment of adult refugees.
