The Red Bull Formula 1 team has suspended with pay an employee who accused the team manager and CEO of Red Bull Racing Ltd. Christian Horner for indecent assault, reported The Telegraph and PA agency. Red Bull declined to comment on this information. On February 28, following the results of an internal investigation of the company from Mr. Horner removed accusations.

About the charges against 50-year-old Christian Horner became known in early February. According to the German newspaper Bild, the reason for checking the CEO of Red Bull Racing Ltd was the photographs he sent to an employee.

Following an internal investigation, Mr. Horner was cleared of charges and allowed to continue working in his post. The applicant has the right to appeal. Red Bull decided not to publish the investigation report because it contains confidential information of the participants in the proceedings, the company added.

In March, another scandal erupted in Formula 1 – the disciplinary committee of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), which licenses the racing series, opened a case against FIA President Mohammed bin Sulayem. According to the BBC, the investigation was launched after receiving a message from a certain informant who said that Mr. bin Sulayem had made an attempt, possibly successful, to influence the results of one of the Formula 1 stages of the 2023 season. We are talking about the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix that took place in March last year.
