In Moscow, 47 mm of precipitation fell per day – this is 60% of the August norm, Mikhail Leus, a leading employee of the Phobos weather center, said. The record for the number of rains for August 20 has been updated. The previous one was in 1999 (18.2 mm).

Mr Leus reported in Telegramthat there was no rain only in the extreme north of the Moscow region, in the rest of the Moscow region, rains of “very different intensity” were noted. No significant precipitation is expected on Monday afternoon.

In Moscow because of the rain traffic restrictions were introduced along the Dmitrov highway. Some streets of the city were flooded, as well as the lobby of the station of the Big Circle Line Maryina Roshcha, shopping centers “Park 11” in the north of the capital and “Chocolate” in Reutov near Moscow and other objects.
