The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), together with partners from Saudi Arabia, will invest more than 1 trillion rubles in the Russian economy over the next two years. This was announced by the head of the RDIF, Kirill Dmitriev.
Thus, Kirill Dmitriev noted, the volume of the current portfolio of joint investments will double. Moreover, since 2015, RDIF and partners from Saudi Arabia have already invested in 40 joint projects worth 1 trillion rubles. Of these, 12 projects in different areas were implemented from scratch.
These projects created more than 200 thousand jobs, and the total revenue of the companies in which investments were made amounted to 4.2 trillion rubles. at the end of 2022, or 3% of the GDP of the Russian economy.
Today, December 6, President Vladimir Putin will go with a one-day visit to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
According to Presidential Assistant for International Affairs Yuri Ushakov, trade turnover between Russia and Saudi Arabia from the beginning of the year until September grew by 4.8% year-on-year, amounting to $1.35 billion. Among the promising sectors for cooperation are agriculture, energy, including and nuclear, as well as industry and investment.
