Producer Andrey Razin filed a lawsuit for the rights to the songs of the group “Tender May” to the Court of Cassation. This was announced by the director of the ex-soloist of the group Yuri Shatunov, noting that Razin promised not to challenge the rights after the death of Shatunov.
“We won the appeal, and then he filed for cassation,” said lawyer Arkady Kudryashov, “although he said he would not file it.”
In early June, Shatunova’s lawyer reported that the Stavropol Regional Court overturned the decision of the Industrial District Court of Stavropol from 2005, which established the transfer of rights to songs from their author Sergei Kuznetsov to Razin. At the same time, the author stated that he did not transfer his to Razin and had not communicated with him for a long time. Shatunov died of a heart attack June 23 at the age of 48.
The website of the Fifth Court of Cassation of General Jurisdiction says that Razin’s claim was received on September 29, and the hearing is scheduled for November 30.
