Rapper Vacio apologized for participating in Ivleeva’s party – Kommersant

Rapper Vacio (Nikolai Vasiliev) apologized for participating in the party of presenter Anastasia Ivleeva in the Moscow club Mutabor on December 21. The Lefortovo Court of Moscow earlier today sentenced the rapper to administrative arrest for 15 days and a fine of 200 thousand rubles. under the article on petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code) and LGBT propaganda (Article 6.21 of the Administrative Code).

A video with the artist’s apology was published by RIA Novosti. In it, Vacio says he “does not support” LGBT people and condemns his “supporters.” He also apologizes for “hurting the feelings of many people at such a difficult time for our country.”

The rapper also said he was “involved” in the video with other partygoers he “doesn’t know at all.” He called the video from the party with his participation terrible.

The party, organized by Anastasia Ivleeva, was attended by Lolita, Philip Kirkorov, Dima Bilan, Dzhigan, Ksenia Sobchak and others on the night of December 21 in Mutabor. She suggested a dress code of “almost naked.” Guests of the event came to the club in revealing outfits.

The rapper himself was at the party in a parody of the famous sock image of Anthony Kiedis from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. What exactly the court recognized as petty hooliganism and LGBT propaganda was not reported. There is a video online of the artist indifferently drinking champagne while a partygoer in a revealing outfit touches a sock, then pulls it off, and the rapper tries to cover his nudity.

On December 21, Vacio wrote in his Telegram channel that he followed the dress code stated at the party and did not pay attention to who and what gender was next to him. He said he just wanted a distraction and stressed that he was a “simple Russian guy” who loves his country and knows that it is not easy right now. “LGBT activism is not my thing at all. I’m a heterosexual guy, I follow the laws of the Russian Federation, and I’m only interested in girls,” he added.

After videos from the party went viral, a number of politicians and public organizations contacted to law enforcement agencies with a request to give a legal assessment of the event. Among them are State Duma deputies Maria Butina and Vitaly Milonov, as well as the organizations “Forty Forties”, “Call of the People” and “Federal Project for Security and Anti-Corruption” of Vitaly Borodin. They accused the party participants of promoting LGBT people, violating traditional values, and also of holding the event while Russia was fighting in Ukraine.

By the evening of December 21, when the second part of the party was supposed to begin, the police arrived at the Mutabor club. The organizers delayed the start of the party by an hour, guests were not allowed inside, and at least 100 people gathered at the entrance. As the Shot Telegram channel reported, people began to be let in an hour later, when prosecutors “collected the necessary materials and left the club.”
