Railway companies will be able to register wagons through “Gosuslugi”

On the Gosuslug website, the function of free registration of railway cars for legal entities has been launched in test mode. About it informed RBC with reference to the presentation of the project, the authenticity of which was confirmed by the representative of the Union of Railway Transport Operators.

Previously, only two private companies, Numeral in Moscow and Transprog in Nizhny Tagil, were involved in electronic accounting of wagons. According to Denis Semenkin, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Railway Rolling Stock Operators, their services were paid, for the registration of each car it was required to pay about 1000 rubles.

Such accounting is necessary for all types of wagons that run on Russian railways. Roszheldor is responsible for their mandatory registration. The introduction of free registration of wagons through the State Services will reduce the costs of operators and the registration time to 10 days instead of the standard one month.

In addition, the registration of wagons through the “Gosuslugi” will minimize the risk of errors in the rolling stock database. The developer of this project is the state company Zashchitainfotrans, which specializes in digitalization in the transport industry.
