Today, May 16, in Ishimbay, the head of Bashkiria visited the city sports palace, where in his youth he was engaged in classical wrestling at sports school No. 2. He made the trip together with the founder of ZASPORT Anastasia Zadorina and Olympic champions: David Musulbes, fencers Adelina Zagidullina and Timur Safin, as well as world boxing champion Azaliya Amineva.
588 pupils of the sports school attend swimming, boxing, kickboxing and wrestling. Boxing, kickboxing, Greco-Roman wrestling championships and championships are regularly held within the walls of the Sports Palace. Last year, six coaches of the sports school received cash certificates under the Rural Coach program, and thanks to the achievements of five boxers, the school will be able to purchase equipment and sports equipment this year.
In September last year, a major overhaul of the building began at the facility – the builders replaced the windows and insulated the facade.
– I came here for the first time as a 10-year-old boy, went in for wrestling, and after the army I took part in the Russian championship, – the head of the republic recalled. – You can say that this is my home. Here we have already put in order the facades, now it is necessary to complete the internal work.
Radiy Khabirov added that, in general, the city is developing quite well – two roads in the center have been repaired, the Bashkir Oil Pioneers Square, two parks and a public garden are being reconstructed.
