The head of the Muslim Spiritual Directorate said that he turned to the head of the republic “at the request of religious leaders and our caring fellow countrymen,” who “want to provide humanitarian assistance to the affected civilian population of Gaza and ask for assistance in its collection and delivery.”
The head supported the initiative, noting that “of course, we are ready to provide assistance to the residents of Gaza, who are today in very difficult conditions.” Bashkiria “always extends a helping hand to those who need it,” Mr. Khabirov emphasized. “Our rescuers pulled victims from the rubble during the earthquake in Turkey. Doctors from Bashkortostan organized assistance and saved patients during the coronavirus pandemic in Kyrgyzstan and Abkhazia,” he recalled.
According to the head of Bashkiria, the republic will take over the formation and dispatch of cargo. “At the first stage, it is necessary to prepare medicines, food, clothes,” explained Radiy Khabirov. The Unified Logistics Center on the basis of the Bashselkhoztekhnika enterprise has been designated as the collection site for humanitarian aid, the report notes.
