Quarantine due to a measles outbreak was introduced in the village of Eluzan, Gorodishchensky district, Penza region, reported local administration. Citizens are advised to refuse to visit places of mass stay, family holidays, wear masks, regularly clean and ventilate the premises.

The unified duty dispatch service of the Gorodishchensky district told Kommersant that a field team had been created to quickly identify cases. The quarantine will be lifted 21 days after the last documented recovery.

Officials remind about the need for measles vaccinations and add that the necessary stock is at the disposal of the medical facilities of the district.
