The day before, Putin signed a decree banning fuel supplies if contracts with foreign buyers directly or indirectly provide for the use of a price cap mechanism.
The ban is imposed on all stages of supply.

Putin’s decree on oil will work on February 1, and the Cabinet of Ministers will determine the date on oil products.
