Putin will meet with elected regional heads

Next week, Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting with elected heads of the country’s regions, reported journalist of the program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin” on the TV channel “Russia 1” Pavel Zarubin.
“It is clear that this is not a ceremonial event at all, but specific working installations,” he said.
Putin will also hold meetings with the Cabinet of Ministers and members of the Security Council, and international contacts are expected, Zarubin said.
The Kremlin has not yet announced the head of state’s schedule for next week.
From September 8 to 10, 4,270 election campaigns of various levels were held in 85 regions, and over 85,000 candidates from 23 parties nominated themselves for the elections. Electronic voting took place in Russia, including in the elections of governors of the Altai Territory, Voronezh, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk and Pskov regions.
For the first time, elections were held in new regions of Russia – the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, which became part of Russia following the results of referendums on September 30, 2022. On September 23, the heads of the new regions entered Vladimir Saldo (Kherson region), Evgeny Balitsky (Zaporozhye region), Denis Pushilin (DPR) and Leonid Pasechnik (LPR). All four previously served as acting heads of their respective regions.
