On Knowledge Day, Vladimir Putin, together with President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, will also speak via video link at an event in honor of the start of construction of three secondary schools with instruction in Russian in Bishkek, Batken and Karakol. In addition, the president will participate via video link in the opening ceremony of new schools in five Russian regions.

At such lessons, schoolchildren are told about the history and culture of Russia. Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov saidthat the topics for “Conversations about the Important” are formed taking into account the national security strategy of the Russian Federation. According to him, such lessons “are not political information, as it was in Soviet times.”
