On Tuesday, December 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the ceremony of presenting state awards in the Catherine Hall of the Kremlin, the press service reports. The awards will be presented, in particular, to the acting heads of the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin, respectively.
As stated in message Kremlin press services, state awards will be awarded to figures in the field of education, science, medicine and health care, industry, agriculture, maritime transport.
The highest degree of the Order “For Services to the Fatherland” will also be awarded to the honorary scientific director of the Russian Federal Nuclear Center in Sarov, Radiy Ilkaev, Metropolitan Yuvenaly (Poyarkov).
In addition, the title of Hero of Russia was awarded to Senior Lieutenant Stepan Belov and Major Konstantin Shirokov. The title “Mother Heroine” was awarded to five Russian women who gave birth and raised 10 or more children. The names of the women are not mentioned.
