President Vladimir Putin said that after his visit to Chukotka he was going to go to Yakutia, but due to the weather the pilots were unable to land the plane. The President promised to fly to the Sakha Republic later.
“I was planning to fly to Yakutia now. The plane can’t land. I had to cancel my trip to Yakutia. But I’ll go anyway, this is a specific failure due to the transport scheme,” Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with residents of Chukotka Anadyr. The President noted that this could happen to an ordinary person. “Every now and then. Especially at such distances and in such zones,” he said.
Five days ago, Vladimir Putin transferred the shares of the Zhatai Shipyard to the ownership of Yakutia “in order to develop the infrastructure of the Arctic transport system and increase the efficiency of the life support systems of the population.” The president personally met with the head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev in May 2023.
