An effective way to search and destroy underground bunkers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been named

The VKS arsenal has half-ton concrete-piercing bombs

The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the transition to strategic defense. Along key sections of the line of contact, Ukrainian troops are creating defensive fortifications by burying cylindrical corrugated steel tanks deep into the ground. According to Ukrainian military engineers, these shelters should protect personnel from bombs and shells. However, according to military experts, the underground structures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces could turn into a large mass grave for Ukrainian soldiers.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine expect to locate headquarters, warehouses, and temporary accommodation centers in such underground shelters. They are equipped with communication systems and autonomous power supply. Such bunkers will contain reserves of food, water and fuel.

At first glance, such structures are invulnerable to conventional weapons. But the Russian Aerospace Forces have methods of combating such targets. They have reconnaissance means that allow them to determine the exact location of underground shelters and destroy them with special ammunition. Thus, the Military-Political Analytics channel noted that Tu-214R special-purpose aircraft are capable of identifying Ukrainian Armed Forces bunkers at a depth of 10-15 meters.

These aircraft are specially designed for electronic and optical-electronic reconnaissance. They are equipped with a multi-frequency radio-technical complex MRK-411 with a lateral and all-round radar, as well as a high-resolution optical-electronic system “Fraction”.

Channel experts note that Tu-214R aircraft can detect targets by their radio emissions and transmit very accurate coordinates. The estimated range of on-board radars in active mode on the surface is 250 km, and in passive mode – up to 400 km. In this case, underground objects are detected at a distance of 120 km.

Well, then, as they say, it’s a matter of technique. The arsenal of the Russian Aerospace Forces includes special concrete-piercing 150-kilogram bombs BETAB-150 and half-ton BETAB-500, which will reach the desired target at depth. So the calculation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces command for super-protected shelters may turn out to be wrong, and an underground steel bunker may simply turn into a mass grave for its inhabitants.
