President Vladimir Putin said that from childhood one should be taught to know Russian epic heroes, and not just characters from American comics. He stated this during a conversation with historians and religious figures.
At the meeting, Doctor of Historical Sciences Natalya Narochnitskaya said that she could not find T-shirts with Russian heroes or heroes of fairy tales as a gift to her grandchildren, since the stores have “only Batman, Spiderman, all kinds of monsters.”
“Here, Batman is famous, but some of our heroes is not. It should be in cartoons, in films, in children’s literature, it needs to be multiplied, repeated, based on it,” Vladimir Putin responded (quoted from TASS). He noted that external paraphernalia is important, but by itself, without an appropriate education system, it will not work.
Since the beginning of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, the world’s largest film studios have refused to distribute films in Russia. Warner Bros. due to the situation in Ukraine, she postponed the premiere of the film “Batman” in Russia with Robert Pattins in the title role. Against the backdrop of the situation with the cancellation of showing foreign films in many Russian cinemas launched for re-distribution of Russian films, including animation projects by the Melnitsa studio, including Alyosha Popovich and Tugarin the Serpent, Dobrynya Nikitich and the Serpent Gorynych, Ilya Muromets and the Nightingale the Robber.
