Putin took part in the launch of a plant in the Pskov region

Russian President Vladimir Putin joined the ceremony of launching production at the Titan-Polymer plant located in the Pskov region via videoconference. He expressed hope that the plant will contribute to import substitution. Initially, the head of state was supposed to personally attend the event, but the trip canceled due to weather conditions.

During the videoconference, Vladimir Putin stressed that the state would continue to support such production. “We need them for the dynamic development of the economy, increasing the output of our own quality products. We will continue to promote the development of modern, high-tech companies throughout the country, we will create the most comfortable conditions for the work of investors,” the head of state said, his words are quoted on website Kremlin.

Vladimir Putin said that the design capacity of the plant is about 72 thousand tons of polymer products per year. Products are in demand in pharmaceuticals and other areas. According to him, the authorities of the Pskov region are planning to create an industrial cluster of enterprises, in the production of which they will use Titan-Polymer products. The President supported this initiative.

“Such cooperation, the launch of production facilities will create new jobs, strengthen the economy and social sphere of the region, give additional incentives to small and medium-sized businesses engaged in related industries,” Mr. Putin said.

As reported in the Kremlin, during the meeting it is planned to make a speech by the management of Titan-Polymer, as well as by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, who will talk about the development of chemical production.

“Titan-Polymer” specializes in the production of fibers, films and non-woven materials. The work of the plant is carried out with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
