Russian President Vladimir Putin launched the Titan-Polymer plant in the Pskov region via video link on Wednesday, transmits Kremlin press office.
“We agreed to hold today’s pleasant event in a face-to-face format, but, unfortunately, we cannot fly from St. Petersburg due to the weather. Then we will work in the online form that is already familiar to us,” the head of state explained.
The President said that the design capacity of the plant is about 72,000 tons of various types of polymer products per year, which are in demand in pharmaceuticals, in the manufacture of medicines and food packaging, and in other areas. He also expressed confidence that the company will help meet this demand and contribute to import substitution.
Earlier today, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin’s working trip to the Pskov region, during which he was supposed to visit the Titan-Polymer plant, was canceled due to non-flying conditions.
