Putin: the plan for waste disposal in Russia was overfulfilled twice

According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, in 2022 the plan for waste disposal in the country was overfulfilled twice. He did not specify how much waste was disposed of, noting that the amount of work on disposal may seem insufficient due to “the size of our country.”
“The work is proceeding at a fairly good pace, although, of course, given the size of our country, it seems that this is not enough. It’s really not enough, it doesn’t just seem. But the pace has been positive, and we, all those involved in this, have exceeded the plan for waste disposal by two times,” the president said at a meeting with participants in the environmental forum in Kamchatka (quoted by TASS).
In August, the audit and consulting network FinExpertiza reported about the production of a record amount of waste in 2021. The Kamchatka Territory has become the region with the largest waste reduction (-93.4%) in the country.
