Putin supported the idea of creating agricultural classes in Russian schools

Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with representatives of the agro-industrial complex in the Stavropol Territory, supported the idea of introducing agricultural classes in the country’s schools.
“Yes, yes, yes, agricultural classes. Here, especially for schools in rural areas, which are in one way or another connected with agricultural production, this definitely needs to be done,” said the head of state (quoted from “RIA News”).
Mr. Putin added that this issue requires a careful approach, since the load on children in schools is already very high. However, there is a need for career guidance for schoolchildren.
At the same meeting, the President supported proposal of the Union of Exporters to create a BRICS grain exchange.
During his visit to the Stavropol Territory, Mr. Putin visited greenhouse complex “Sunstroke”. The President was shown greenhouses for growing tomatoes, a robot for collecting vegetables, as well as a distribution and sorting workshop.
