Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with the laureates and finalists of the all-Russian competition “Teacher of the Year” that he had signed a decree on deferment from partial mobilization for additional categories of students. The text of the decree has not yet been published.

The head of state said that students of “educational programs of secondary vocational and higher education, including programs for the training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in graduate school, residency programs and assistantship-internships located on the territories of innovative scientific and technological centers and in the spiritual center are not subject to conscription. -educational organizations.

He also recalled that the deferment is provided for full-time and part-time students. The corresponding decree of the President signed September 24th.

Vladimir Putin noted that the Ministry of Defense initially reported that several categories of citizens should not be drafted as part of partial mobilization. However, according to the president, the changes in the list of citizens who are not subject to deferment were not made in a timely manner.

Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization on 21 September. As reported by the Ministry of Defense, 300 thousand citizens who are in reserve will be called up as part of the mobilization.
