Putin said that Borrell in the 30s would have been a fascist

Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Eastern Economic Forum said that EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell in the 30s of the XX century would have been on the side of the fascist regime in Spain. Putin made this conclusion based on the fact that Borrell supports Ukraine.
“In my opinion, he would be on the side of the putschists,” Putin said, “because today he supports just the same kind of putschists on the territory of Ukraine.”
“He would have been on the side of the Nazis, for sure,” he added.
According to Putin, if Borrell – “the one you mentioned, God bless him” – knew that “Bandera, Shukhevych and so on are neo-Nazis”, then he would understand “where real Nazism flourishes and where it is supported on state level”.
