Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with participants in the congress of young scientists, said that a significant number of Russians need psychological help. He explained that he was referring to the VTsIOM data for the past year.
According to Putin, in 2021, VTsIOM estimated at 15% the number of Russian residents who need the help of psychologists. Among young people, the figure was estimated at 35%. He added that “the state at different levels” does not pay the required attention to this topic.
“But in vain, especially today,” Putin added.
The president noted that he would ask the prime minister, who has recently become head of the coordinating council – “which we have created to solve certain problems” – to deal with this issue.
