Russian President Vladimir Putin called for introducing artificial intelligence training into school educational programs. He stated this at a meeting with participants in the Congress of Young Scientists in Sochi.
Vladimir Putin cited the example of China, where, according to him, artificial intelligence is studied from school. “Given the level of education in Russia, this is absolutely normal, we can handle it. The question is to build school programs correctly according to age,” the president said (quoted by “RIA News”).
According to him, this approach will contribute to the penetration of artificial intelligence into other areas. “But, of course, it is not enough to just introduce it into school curricula. We need to work “broader and deeper.” And we will try to do this,” the head of state noted.
The Congress of Young Scientists takes place from November 28 to 30 in the Sirius Park of Science and Arts in Sochi. The organizers of the congress are the Ministry of Education and Science, the Roscongress Foundation and the Coordination Council for Youth Affairs in the Scientific and Educational Spheres of the Presidential Council on Science and Education.
