Putin promised military priests state support

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he had discussed with Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ the issues of additional state guarantees for military priests who are in the zone of a special military operation.
“We recently spoke with the patriarch and discussed these issues,” the head of state said during a conversation with war veterans, among whom were representatives of the clergy.
“And what is the difference between a priest who walks under bullets and all other military personnel? Putin noted. – In this case, nothing. And we will keep that in mind.”
The priest who asked a question on this topic thanked the president for preparing a draft decree on additional guarantees for clergy, which, according to him, provides, among other things, for payments in case of injury or death.
In response, the Russian leader confirmed the study of these issues and thanked the representatives of the clergy for their support.
