Putin posthumously awarded Vladlen Tatarsky the Order of Courage

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decree on the posthumous awarding of the Order of Courage to military commissar Vladlen Tatarsky (real name Maxim Fomin). On April 2, he died when a bomb exploded in a statuette presented to him in a cafe in St. Petersburg. On the fact of the explosion, a criminal case was initiated on the terrorist attack.
From the decree it follows that Vladlen Tatarsky was awarded “for courage and courage shown in the performance of professional duty.”
After 2014, Maxim Fomin took part in the hostilities as part of the people’s militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic. In 2019, he moved to Moscow and, under the name Vladlen Tatarsky, began covering events in the Donbas on social networks.
