The federal government must quickly complete work on preparing a regulatory framework for increasing payments to doctors. This statement was made on Wednesday, February 14, by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He said that from March 1, monthly payments for specialists in small towns, regional centers and villages will be increased. In cities where from 50 thousand to 100 thousand people live, doctors will receive an additional 29 thousand rubles, average staff – 13 thousand. In settlements with a population of less than 50 thousand people, monthly additional payments will be 50 thousand rubles and 30 thousand rubles, respectively.

Putin emphasized that it takes time to prepare the regulatory framework and asked the Cabinet of Ministers to resolve this issue promptly.

Earlier, the head of state ordered to double the payments to doctors who will move to work in new regions within the framework of the “Zemsky Doctor” program in settlements with a population of less than 50 thousand people. Doctors will receive 2 million rubles. Paramedics, midwives and nurses will be able to receive 1 million rubles each.

Meanwhile, doctors of the Kaliningrad perinatal center complained to Vladimir Putin about the refusal to pay a federal bonus due to the high salaries of doctors. Based on the results of work for 11 months of 2023, the average salary of doctors at this medical institution was 91,935.7 rubles.
