President Vladimir Putin instructed Rosmolodezh, together with the Ministry of Education, to organize an all-Russian mentor competition called “To be, not to appear!” From list Presidential instructions published by the Kremlin press service indicate that the competition is aimed at “wide involvement of citizens in patriotic education.”
According to the document, the competition will be organized with the participation of the Association of Volunteer Centers, the youth organization “First Movements”, the educational organization “Knowledge”, as well as the Center for the Development of Military Sports Training and Patriotic Education of Youth.
The president must receive a report on the execution of the order by July 1, 2024. By the same deadline, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education and Science must submit proposals to the president on establishing Mentor Day. Until March 1, the presidential administration must send proposals to the government to increase the role and prestige of the teacher and mentor, as follows from the document.
